Nordic region to become expert at carbon capture and storage
NORDICCS, a Nordic user driven competence centre for realization of carbon capture and storage, has been launched at SINTEF Energy in Trondheim, Norway. In total, 35 million NOK will be invested by the Nordic countries over a four year period.

The Nordic Centre for Research on Marine Ecosystems and Resources under Climate Change (NorMER) opened its first annual meeting October 11th on the site where Fridtjof Nansen defended his thesis in April 1888. Rector of the University of Oslo Professor Ole Petter Ottersen used the occasion to encourage researchers to let the spirit of Nansen inspire them.
